其實愛爾蘭郵差很有人情味, 尤其在鄉間小鎮一直有在做這工作-愛爾蘭郵局推出新服務，郵差在工作中會探望閉關中的老年人和有需要人士。 郵差會在常規派送路線上探望他們, 看看他們是否需要幫助，免費提供報紙，甚至需要更多幫助的時候, 聯繫慈善組織Alone。這服務是免費的，可以在網上申請。只需輸入有需要人士的地址，An Post郵差就會提供服務。 An Post Delivery Staff to check-in with vulnerable customers.
