Relationship Manager – Global Airlines
To further strengthen our role as Global market player, we are now looking to recruit a Relationship Manager to manager our Global Airline customers based in the Asia Pacific regionThe position can be based at any of our locations across Europe which include UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Norway or Poland.
This position is responsible for the management of existing, and development of new business relationships within the airline industry for customers who are headquartered in the Asia Pacific region.
The successful candidate will:
  • Report directly to the SVP for Airline Acquiring
  • manage an existing portfolio of customers; responsible for direct sales or sales through partner relationships to our existing customers and/or prospects; develop revenue initiatives and market share objectives for the region, establishing a sales strategy for the products and services sold;
  • maintain and develop profitable customers within the portfolio, utilizing a well-defined strategy based relationship management approach that recognizes the customer’s needs and desires and aligns them with Elavon and its products/capabilities;
  • be responsible for identifying and monitoring market trends and competitor’s actions within the region in order to gain a competitive advantage.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s or Masters level education
  • Candidate must be a fully competent in English (speaking, reading and writing). Bi-lingual Mandarin is essential (speaking fluency, reading with writing proficiency). Japanese or Korean speaking proficiency is a bonus.
  • Previous sales experience in the Payment Services Industry is essential and an ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of payments products/ and current market trends.
  • Experience within airline payments and/or direct airline employment experience, would be a distinct advantage;
  • Cultural awareness within the assigned countries in the Asia Pacific region;
  • Ability to travel circa 30% of time to Asia Pacific region;
  • Familiarity with contracts and negotiation skills;
  • Understanding of credit dynamics and underwriting; Core understanding of financial statements and ability to support credit requests with sufficient financial justification;
  • Advanced knowledge of IT Applications (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, SalesForce).
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Considerable knowledge and experience within a sales environment and developing sales strategies;
  • Ability to demonstrate new business development and relationship management skills;
  • Excellent customer service/relationship building skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Self-starter with strong problem solving abilities;
  • Pre-disposition to focus on solution oriented discussions;
  • Ability to be self–sustaining and self-motivated.  You will be part of a small team that is decentralized.
