Covid-19 159 new cases of coronavirus, two new deaths in Ireland ; Hundreds gathered in Dublin city centre today in protest against Covid-19 restrictions

It is confirmed that there are two futher deaths related to Covid-19 in Ireland. But there is a further 159 cases of Covid-19, bringing the total number of cases in Ireland to 30,730.

The number of people died from Coronavirus now stands at 1,783.

IT IS “DEEPLY concerning” to see campaigns that threaten to erode trust and confidence in public health, the Health Minister has said, following a large protest against coronavirus restrictions in Dublin this afternoon. 

Hundreds gathered in Dublin city centre today in protest against Covid-19 public health measures and the wearing of face coverings.
