Key Responsibilities

The role is challenging and varied with no two days the same. You will translate knowledge of fast-growing technology business into a workforce strategy which ensures the right people, with the right capabilities are in the right place, at the right cost. You also need support a diverse multinational workforce in all aspects of the HR function from recruiting to onboarding to payroll processing, through performance management and career development.

  • Establish and maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with managers and colleagues within Huawei Ireland – developing a thorough knowledge of the organisation and its objectives and internal processes.
  • Work with the HRD/HRBP to aligned with corporate talent strategies, support the implementation of talent management strategies and enable the development of the members of our teams in their career path.
  • Conduct external benchmarking studies and make recommendations to ensure Huawei Ireland stays competitive in areas of compensation, benefits and perks.
  • Provide timely and effective coaching to all leaders and colleagues on HR processes and programs, driving utilization of on-line and Shared Services tools when appropriate
  • Manage the day to day recruitment process, assisting the hiring managers and in-house recruiters in developing job descriptions and liaising with employment agencies
  • Working with the Procurement Team, play a role in selection and qualification of HR suppliers (recruitment agencies, etc.). Manage the 3rd party contractor hiring process including rate negotiation with agencies.
  • Liaise closely with the in-house counsel and external legal advisors. Hold overall responsibility for ensuring that employment and immigration/visa policies and procedures comply with legal requirements and are implemented by all managers to a high standard across the site

Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a HR Business Partner/HR Manager role within a diverse, multinational IT or digital industry organisation.
  • A relevant degree or diploma.
  • Fluency in English is required. Candidates fluent in Mandarin are strongly preferred.

  • High degree of knowledge and understanding of employment law.
  • Strong ability to contribute to the overall strategy and operation of Huawei Ireland.
  • Ability to think differently about how the role of HR can add recognizable value to the business. Ability to build close relationships with all colleagues and leaders and influence in a positive manner.
  • Not afraid to suggest out the box thinking and not afraid to voice opinion and challenge the status quo.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a large, complex, fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in facilitating change, solid problem solving, excellent facilitation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills
  • This role will require some travel to China and continental Europe
