愛爾蘭水務公司證實，自從水庫供水量降至嚴重低位後，全國范圍內的軟管禁令將從周二生效。
《節約用水令》禁止家庭用戶和商業場所使用花園水管和其他非必要用水進行非商業活動。
該禁令將一直保留到7月21日星期二午夜。
愛爾蘭水務董事總經理尼爾·格里森（Niall Gleeson）表示：“愛爾蘭水務在當前乾旱時期的當務之急是保護我們在家庭和企業中使用的水以及在Covid-19危機期間的基本衛生設施。
“由於需求繼續超過供應，乾旱天氣似乎將繼續，愛爾蘭水務已採取額外的步驟實施了《節約用水令》。
Irish Water has confirmed that a nationwide hosepipe ban will come into force from Tuesday after reservoir supplies dropped to critically low levels.
The Water Conservation Order prohibits the use of garden hosepipes and other non-essential uses of water by domestic users and commercial premises for non-commercial activities.
The ban will remain in place until midnight on Tuesday, July 21.
