THE DEPARTMENT OF Health has this evening confirmed a further 16 deaths from Covid-19 along with 129 new cases of the virus in Ireland.
It brings the total number of deaths in Ireland to 1,518. The total number of confirmed cases in Ireland has now reached 23,956.

15 further deaths from Covid-19 in Northern Ireland.
Nine of the deaths occurred between 9am on Thursday and 9am on Friday, while six were previously unreported.
It brings the death toll in Northern Ireland to 469.
