A PATIENT suspected of contracting deadly coronvirus was being treated at an Irish hospital last night.
Medical staff were telling people not to travel to St Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin unless the visit was “necessary”.
The move came after a patient – believed to be a woman – presented at the hospital showing symptoms similar to coronavirus.
The patient was placed in isolation as onlookers told of some people “panic mode” who were attending the emergency department.
The source said: “It’s an older lady, late 60s early 70s, she appears to be Irish.”
When the Irish Sun asked St Vincent’s to comment on the matter, a hospital spokeswoman told us: “Respecting patient confidentiality, SVUH do not comment on patients with third parties.”
