Head of Internal Audit – Aviation Leasing

We have been exclusively appointed by our client, a well established aviation lessor, to search for a Head of Internal Audit.  Reporting to the Audit Committee, role will oversee and manage the internal audit function covering risk management, internal control and corporate governance.

Key responsibilities:

• Set up and implement an Annual Audit Plan and conduct operational and process audits.
• Prepare, plan and carry out internal audits under the agreed annual audit plan
• Provide ad hoc advice to management in respect of internal control
• Write internal audit reports including recommendations to resolve audit findings
• Conduct follow up reviews on the status of audit recommendations
• Conduct special and ad-hoc investigations and reviews as appropriate and manage any external audits for the Company
• Implement controls at international professional standards while maintaining strong relationships internally.

Ideal candidate profile:

• Accounting / Auditing qualifications
• 8+ years audit experience in an international company
• An in-depth understanding of the industry would be a distinct advantage
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently coupled with a focus on excellence and results
• Thrives in a fast-paced, international, dynamic environment.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills at all senior level.

• Knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage.
