A survey in 2016 show that there are 4.8m people in Ireland, while there are almost 5.2m sheep. There are more cows than the number of people speaking Irish language. There are 1.4m dairy cows and 1.1m suckler cows, at the same time, there are 1.8m people who speak Irish.
